LAFOURCHE SPEED SHOOTERS

 

The Lafourche Speed Shooters Match is held on the second Saturday of every month at the Southern Sport Center Range in Thibodeaux, La. Hammer down at 9:00 A.M.

Shooters,
Beginning January 1, 2008 Lafourche Speed Shooters will offer membership for the year. Those who choose to become members of Lafourche Speed Shooters will shoot regular STEEL and ICORE matches at a discounted fee. The fees for the Steel Matches will be $15 for members and $20 for non-members. The fees for ICORE Matches will be $15 for members and $20 for non-members (excluding the $2.00 optional classifier fee). The price for annual membership will be $20 per person or $25 per family.
There will be 11 regular Saturday steel matches, held on the second Saturday of every month. The May 10th match will be a prize match. Shooters must be LSS classified to go to the prize table. Entry fee is $65.00 (post marked by April 1, 2008) and will be $80.00 after that date. Anyone who would like to shoot this match as a “fun match” and not compete for prizes can do so for a registration fee of $15.00.
Six ICORE matches to be held on Jan. 26 (classifier match), May 24, July 26, Sept. 27 and Nov. 29. We will also have the pleasure of hosting the Southern Regional Revolver Championship on March 29 and 30, 2008. This will be a prize match with guns donated by Smith & Wesson and many other prizes. The registration fee for the Match will be $85 (post marked by January 31, 2008) and will be $100 after that date. Anyone who would like to shoot this match as a “fun match” and not compete for prizes can do so for a registration fee of $15. (Revolvers only). ICORE members qualify for guns as prizes.

Lafourche Speed Shooters, L.L.C. will be sponsoring an ICORE (International Confederation of Revolver Enthusiasts) revolver match.
Divisions: Open & Limited
Revolvers: .32 magnum caliber or greater
Ammo: Minimum power factor of 120
Holsters: Holds firearm securely and covers trigger guard
Speed loaders or clips: enough for maximum of a 30 round stage
General rules follow closely to IPSC rules. However, scoring is done differently. NRA
D-1 targets are used.
A – zone hits add 0 seconds to time.
B – zone hits add 1 second to time.
C – zone hits add 2 seconds to time.
Misses - add 5 seconds each
Final score is total time for all stages.
Steel may be used in some stages. Add 5 seconds per miss.
All stages will be six round neutral.
We’re planning to have approximately 5 stages with approximately 100 rounds total.
Schedule: 8:00am – 9:00am, registration. Match starts at 9:00am
